Cherry cherry boom boom.

Last night was Lady Gaga's concert at Fort Canning Park. I thought the experience was bitter-sweet to be honest.

The concert was set to start at 8pm, So as expected, the queue was super long when it hit 7pm. Baby and I were a lil late cos of the jam that was going on at Tiong Bahru area. Plus, we parked at PS cos we figured that Fort Canning Park is gonna be packed so we had to walk quite a distance to get up to the park. By the time we managed to get to the arena, it was 8pm.

Of course I expected them to start later cos people are always late right? PCD concert started at like 830pm, so we were already mentally prepared. I've also been the SingFest last year so I kinda know how the park looked like and how big the arena was gonna be. Right?

WRONG!!

The wait was I could only describe ex-cru-ciat-ing. The crowd was pain-ful-ly packed and not to mention, guy beside me had serious BO. Look, if you have BO, please don't bother to raise your hands. -.- There was no organized queue right from the start. People were actually allowed to cut in the middle and there were no barricades. LAMC productions, you're gonna recieve a complain letter from AJ really soon. Remind me never to go for an open-aired, standing only concert.

And to make everything worse, the main lady was late! She only came out at 920pm? The crowd was really put off with the waiting and there were even "boos" from the crowd at the 9pm mark. Seriously, if you really wanted to people to wait for you, at least do it when there's aircon at least or chairs. How can anyone ever enjoy waiting for 1.5hours(excluding queuing time), with no aircon, no chairs, fully packed together, and standing on a slope? Have pity on the girls on heels at least.

But all in all, minus the waiting part, the concert was pretty good. Her singing was also good given that it's live and her dancing was nice too. Abit vulgar here and there and she sounded like she was high on drugs or beer or something, but she wasn't. Just a lil weird I guess?

My legs were really sore when the concert was done so we had a quick bite and headed home to rest. What a night! I don't think I wanna do a concert anytime soon unless it's at the Esplanade. A play maybe baby? :)
