Home-cooked lunch.

It's finally Friday! Tomorrow's my birthday celebration with my family and a couple of friends who are relatively comfortable with my family. Mom's gonna whip something for all of us for dinner so I can't wait for that. :)

Aunty Lam and Shirley decided to cook lunch for me today. It was really sweet of them to cook for me cos Aunty Lam doesn't really like us to do any cooking in her kitchen, but for one day only, she was okay with it. So a big thank you to them. Lunch was perfect.

Went shopping on Wednesday for our respective presents. Basically we bought each other a bag. She bought me a Crumpler, and I bought her a Longchamp. I love my bag, and hers as well.:)

And tonight we're gonna celebrate our birthdays together! I've got a couple of surprises for her so hopefully everything will run smoothly. I hope she'll like it cos in my head it's fabulous.

Dozing off.

I'm so sleepy right now. I think I need to find something to do to take my mind off sleeping. I did think of going on my food runs, but I have a feeling I'll doze off in the van. Hmmmm.. maybe I'll do my runs tomorrow then. :) For the rest of the day, I will sit outside with the elderly and watch them play mahjong! Speaking of mahjong, I've been having cravings to play. Anybody up for a game or two?

Side step a little..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY!!! :D I miss you and I can't wait for you to come home and play guitar heroes with me and waffles! :)

August is here! My birthday's just around the corner. I'm going birthday present shopping with baby really soon for our respective presents. Can't wait to find my bag and show her hers. She's still trying to guess what bag I'm gonna get for her. :) On the other hand, I know what bag I'm gonna get. I'm just hoping that it won't be out of stock by next Fri/Sat.

Cherry cherry boom boom.

Last night was Lady Gaga's concert at Fort Canning Park. I thought the experience was bitter-sweet to be honest.

The concert was set to start at 8pm, So as expected, the queue was super long when it hit 7pm. Baby and I were a lil late cos of the jam that was going on at Tiong Bahru area. Plus, we parked at PS cos we figured that Fort Canning Park is gonna be packed so we had to walk quite a distance to get up to the park. By the time we managed to get to the arena, it was 8pm.

Of course I expected them to start later cos people are always late right? PCD concert started at like 830pm, so we were already mentally prepared. I've also been the SingFest last year so I kinda know how the park looked like and how big the arena was gonna be. Right?

WRONG!!

The wait was I could only describe ex-cru-ciat-ing. The crowd was pain-ful-ly packed and not to mention, guy beside me had serious BO. Look, if you have BO, please don't bother to raise your hands. -.- There was no organized queue right from the start. People were actually allowed to cut in the middle and there were no barricades. LAMC productions, you're gonna recieve a complain letter from AJ really soon. Remind me never to go for an open-aired, standing only concert.

And to make everything worse, the main lady was late! She only came out at 920pm? The crowd was really put off with the waiting and there were even "boos" from the crowd at the 9pm mark. Seriously, if you really wanted to people to wait for you, at least do it when there's aircon at least or chairs. How can anyone ever enjoy waiting for 1.5hours(excluding queuing time), with no aircon, no chairs, fully packed together, and standing on a slope? Have pity on the girls on heels at least.

But all in all, minus the waiting part, the concert was pretty good. Her singing was also good given that it's live and her dancing was nice too. Abit vulgar here and there and she sounded like she was high on drugs or beer or something, but she wasn't. Just a lil weird I guess?

My legs were really sore when the concert was done so we had a quick bite and headed home to rest. What a night! I don't think I wanna do a concert anytime soon unless it's at the Esplanade. A play maybe baby? :)

BKK gone wrong.

So this time around was Bangkok gone wrong. Well, almost.. I enjoyed my first 2 days in BKK. Went to eat some authentic thai food the moment we landed, which including tomyum soup, lad moo(basil chilli minced pork), khai jiao(ommelete) and papaya salad! I think no one does thai food better than the thais, especially the khai jiao and papaya salad. Oh my, my mouth is watering now! Baby, shall we go BKK soon? :D I'll bring you to new places okay?

Day 2 was spent shopping at MBK. Shopping was great but we didn't buy much clothes cause everyone knows that we all buy shirts from Platinum. :) MBK is overpriced! So people who don't know BKK, buy clothes from Platinum okay? I always call it "A girl's paradise". We had Japanese for dinner and we went for massage that night! Went to a new place called "Body Tune". It was quite nice and slightly more expensive than Healthland. But both still good.

Day 3 was the start of my "BKK gone wrong". We were supposed head to Platinum to shop for clothes but my tummy wasn't feeling that well and as expected, I puked after I got out of the cab outside Platinum. -.- Story cut short, I puked an astonishing number of 4 times. What a trip!

So I went to the hospital and the doctor said that I had food poisoning. Gave me some medicine and asked me to eat light food. So for the rest of the trip, I ate 2 spoons of rice, a spoon of mixed veggies and I'm full. I had absolutely no appetite for more food. I'm so deprived of spicy thai food. :(

"Erm.. Can I get a thai chef to go please?"
